They've been getting murdered as big name streamers have been leaving their platform. Why? Because they wrongly believe they own the streamers and their content, so they were preventing them from monetizing themselves elsewhere.
They have relented and are now allowing simulcasts...with restrictions.

Finally bans far left Hasan Piker after he called for Rick Scott to be murdered twice in one stream. It's a positive move for Twitch who, like the former Twitter, had a history of banning right leaning streamers for far less. And I do want to point out saying Hasan was just a left leaning person would be like saying Donald Trump is kind of a braggart. Hasan is strongly anti-capitalism (which is hilarious considering he's living off daddy's money and makes a lot more thanks to capitalism), is anti-US (where he lives), and has called for violence before. Fuck him.

For Twitch? I don't know. They've been inconsistent with their bans for years.
Ditto for YouTube. One guy I watched regularly ALWAYS edits his videos to avoid any strikes. Meanwhile, he always reacts to Adik the One's compilations (the best ones out there) and heavily edits them, but somehow Adik runs them without being banned. Also, ever seen the girls who do "try on outfit" videos? They're essentially naked the whole time.
There's a famous couple, Asians and the girls name is Jeanie or something. I forget their handle. They got strikes and quickly banned despite them just doing reaction videos of other clips on YouTube from accounts that never got strikes or banned.
SM has a lot of work to do in this area.
I honestly think they could save themselves some problems AND make a profit if they just do a tier of premium that allows certain levels of uncensored stuff. Block murder and full on porn, but allow some of your creators more leeway.
