AFI's 100 best films - 10th anniversary ed.

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Citizen Kane is the most overrated movie in history.

As I have stated before, the AFI sucks. They are out of touch with reality. It's quite obvious that their membership leans towards "old".

It should be called the "100 favorite movies of people over 60."

There's several films that don't need to be there.

99 Toy Story (1995)
89 The Sixth Sense (1999)
76 Forrest Gump (1994)
34 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
26 Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)
20 It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
5 Singin' in the Rain (1952)
6 Gone With the Wind (1939)

On the other hand, there's a shitload of good ones.

Loads of good movies on that list. True.

Their order and relevance are, at best, questionable. Plus, there are too many good movies left off the list.

No one gave a shit about that movie until the movie house let the rights for it slip and it became public domain getting played on every local station every Christmas 130 times a year.

It did very average at the theaters to lukewarm reviews.

I do love that Star Wars is on the list considering it was a bomb in the eyes of the critics. They only changed their tune when they saw what it did to the public.

Although, if the list were real, Empire would rate above Star Wars.

Yep. Frank Capra's attempt at a return to glory ... after WWII when everyone saw their buddy get blown away during fighting. No one wanted that happy-go-lucky shit he was pushing.

Fantasia also flopped at the box office before the hippies in the '60s discovered that it was a good flick to do drugs to.
