You know how I shit on MSM outlets and how they create sensational headlines that are half truths, while burying the full story deep in the article? We've posted the actual study on this site before that proved the percentages of people who don't read past the headline. Just stumbled upon a Twitter thread that shows this in action.
The woman not only believes the lie, but she obviously never bothers to read the Community Notes attached to the lie. This is made worse because she reposts it multiple times within the thread and the Community Notes are there every time. The fact that other people also believe it and don't bother reading the notes says so much.
(BTW, I still believe we are heading towards verified accounts being mandatory for all social media platforms.)

This is the exact point of the half-truth headlines. They know their idiots will be useful and propagate the half-truth, so their side has a better chance of winning the prizes. Making it only a half-lie gives them plausible deniability, "We didn't mean to lie, and anyway the actual facts were there, 9 paragraphs down."

About 17 years ago, I was working at the local electric company, and one of my coworkers and I (so we're both around 30) and I were talking about money. He was CONVINCED that about 1/2 of Americans were millionaires, and 10% of them or more were $10 millionaires. I was like "Dude no way" and he was like "Way"... at any rate. He was just floored when I showed him the real numbers (back then was like 5% and < 1% respectively).
