They kinda can once the behavior is deemed monopolistic.

Where's the monopoly? Loads of other companies stream their owned content exclusively. Plus, all the other streaming services, cable TV, and free TV.
Plus, we're not talking about removing all channels or even a majority of channels. Just channels Disney owns.
This is not a fight Google can win. They should exit the market now.

Not right now, no. They don't have the right people in place. I don't think they really have done more than tip their toe into the water here, and I'm not sure they're interested in doing more.
YouTube TV is a glorified cable company. It's the same model. If they're making new content, nobody has noticed. They have no power there.
It would be interesting to see them go to war here. They, obviously, have the means, but the other content creating companies would have to align and move against them or they would be next. They could all essentially cut Google off from all content, choking YouTube out as well.

Or did Google meet their price?
Google being in that market half assed is poor management. Either go all in or stop wasting money.

Google is all-in as device + platform delivery, not content creator.

Yes. Content has to be shown somehow. Disney doesn't make devices. Netflix doesn't make devices. HBO doesn't make devices, etc.
It's not me, it's someone else.

Google doesn't make most devices that stream things either. They make Chromecast which is 3.1% of the market and shitty Chromebooks. Most of those Chromebooks being unable to stream shit because they're locked down by the school.
Google has YouTube TV, which in Q2 of 2020 had 4 million subscribers (before the Disney+ launch which got over 100M subscribers in the first 30 days and were including Hulu in a bundle).
Nothing about these numbers and their lack of content creation suggest Google trying to stay in the market long term makes sense. Cable companies are trying to exit this market because there's no success in being the middleman anymore. So why does Google want to be the middle man? What am I missing?

They want to be the interface between people and content. Like google search.

They can fuck off. They just make it more expensive.

More expensive, again. 12.3% over 3 years. Although, inflation in that same time has been 17%.

$35 a month for all those channels, including the "Big 5" networks?
Google must be hurting for money.

Add in your internet package and this is more expensive than cable.
If only someone had seen this coming.

It was a good deal for a minute.
And remember having a cable box under the TV?
Then plundering the high seas became fashionable again.

Their greed is going to price themselves right out of the market.
Too many services all vying for the same cash. A reckoning is coming.
