Yet another wonky day in the NFL.

I look out at the absolute madness that happened this week and last and wonder, "Why do I bet on this unpredictable shit?"

My only hope is that the WTFers give up on this season. We're looking at top 5 draft pick now!

I lost $30 in bets this weekend, but won both fantasy matchups.

AFC West - Every team has won 5 games.

AFC North - Every team has won at least 5 games (if Pitt wins tonight)

Man, remember 2 weeks ago when Cincinnati was the #1 seed in the AFC? If Pitt wins tonight, Cincinnati is 4th in their own division.

Odd stat of the week, in an odd week for the NFL

Eagles: 0-4 at home; 3-2 away

Pats: 1-4 at home; 4-0 away

49ers: 0-4 at home; 3-1 away

As a whole, NFL teams are 65-70 as the home team.
In 2019, home teams went 136-124-1 (52.3 percent), the second-lowest home-team win percentage ever. On top of that, their scoring margin was just +0.1, the lowest in NFL history.
https://www.covers.com/nfl/home-field-advantage
Before 1999, home teams had a 62.0 percent win rate in the three seasons and a 52.6 percent cover rate. In the three seasons following the change, home teams had a 56.9 percent win rate and covered 49.7 percent of the time. This demonstrates the natural bias officials have towards home teams, as before 1999, they went largely unchecked on calls that were influenced by fan presence and pressure.
1999 allowed video replay challenges.

Your fantasy team is up 9 and your opponent has Diontae Johnson tonight. You haven't lost yet.

That 2020 draft was not kind to the Raiders in 2021.

I wonder what he'd be like now if the Raiders had drafted him instead :)

He'd clearly be dead or in prison.

One thing I like about the Steelers is that they have always avoided or jettisoned players with character issues. Kind of why the Haskins signing was out of character.

The live feed made me think that kick hit the crossbar and bounced backwards. The side view showed it was 10-15 yards short. Weird.

Justin Fields played really well, but the team around him has flaws.

He had a handful of longer throws completed that were called back on penalties, so his stats don't show the full story.

That taunting penalty that everyone will be talking about was kind of BS. I think if he doesn't run into the umpire on the way back, it might not get thrown. However, what are you even doing walking towards the opponent's sideline? Get off the field. The play has been over for 10 seconds and there's a play clock dipshit.
