EU mandates it should be the standard for mobile devices.

This affects Apple the most as they'll need to drop their proprietary lightning chargers.

I LOVE the idea of standardization for chargers because it gets rid of the bullshit searching for the right adapters and drops prices. However, by the time this mandate goes into effect some new technology will probably be out that's better.
