Superman Returns *spoilers*

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

1. "I never lie..." but he was willing to let Lois Lane cheat on what was obviously a good man?

2. A beer?

3. What did Lex Luthor do to the old rich woman who said, "You've given me pleasure I've never known..." yikes.

4. The dark little "Weren't there two of those? line, when referring to the cannibal dog, was the dark scene parallel of the original Superman's "What have I told you about lying? *smack*" scene with the little girl.

5. Where did Superman get the new crystal ride when visiting the remains of Krypton, and why did he need it?

6. Doesn't someone need to address the issue that Supes owes lots of back child support?

Crime is a dirty, nasty business.

The speech Supes gave to the reporters on the plane about the statistical safety of flight was almost verbatum the same as he told Lois in the first movie when he saved her from falling after the helicopter mishap.

5. Where did Superman get the new crystal ride when visiting the remains of Krypton, and why did he need it?
And wouldn't the area where his planet exploded be riddled with kryptonite?

And, just landing on Lex's new island was enough to make Supes so weak that Lex beat him like a bitch, but then Supes can fly into the Earth's crust and lift the entire island into space, even though it looked like he was getting even more exposure to the kryptonite?

And wouldn't there be some serious short and long term planetary issues with losing that much mass on earth?

In my mind I envisioned him going back and pummeling it into re-entry sizable chunks 'als "Batman Strike Back" (or was that "Strikes Again"? I can never remember)

Seems if he did that, the amount of kryptonite dust in the atmosphere afterwords would be fairly lethel to him. Plus even one bit of crystal lands back in the ocean, and the whole problem starts again.

But, yeah, from a technical and logical point of view this movie had lots of problems. Thank goodness Spacey and Routh were able to act the hell out of it and make it good.

Hell, Routh did a better Christopher Reeves than Christopher Reeves did.

At one point, that just meant standing & walking.

Yes, I'm aware I'm going to hell for that.

Where'd he go for 5 years? To Krypton and back doesn't take 5 years. (Remember, he was an infant when he was sent and an infant when he arrived.)

I hated that they "killed" him. If they get serious about making a sequel, that pretty much kills the impact it would have had if Doomsday killed him.

Also, I wish they would've done some cameos like Marvel does in it's movies. When Supes was in the hospital, it would've been cool if other heroes would have been visible outside of the hospital or even when Lois was walking into the hospital, if she had passed a few in the hallway outside of his room.

His son? I like that they avoided the whole "He'd blow out her uterus theory", but I really hope they keep the kid young for any sequels. Robin is a great character in the comics, but we all saw how Hollywood treats sidekicks and adding Superboy into the mix isn't likely to be good for anyone. Besides, that kid was kind of creepy. There were a few times when I thought I was watching The Ring.
