The Nice Guys

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

The Nice Guys

Post by Leisher »

If you told me this movie was 3 and a half hours long I'd believe you. Not that it sucked, but it just dragged.

Ok, as I said, it didn't suck, but it wasn't great. Was it good? Maybe? There were laughs, there was action, there were some good performances, and a great set of tits, but was it good?

The pace was easily the biggest problem as the film dragged in multiple areas. I would go back and forth from playing a game to intently watching to being bored and going back to the game, and at one point I even thought, "I wish this movie would just end". But then I was into it again.

One thing they absolutely nailed was the 70s. The film is a time warp in the same way that Stranger Things is an 80s time warp.

See it? Don't? Not one you should rent or feel bad about never seeing, but if it's on HBO or something, give it a look.

He voice is instantly recognizable. I can't believe it took me years to put two and two together and puzzle out that Goliath the gargoyle moonlighted as a hoodoo holy man.

The Saint's Row games have him as a legit character in the game. Keith David is in your fucking gang. Hilarious.

I think of this game whenever I see him in something.

I legit rented this off the dollar shelf tonight. I had zero memory of ever seeing this film.

How's that for a review?
