Daddy's Home

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Will Ferrell marries a hot chick, Linda Cardellini, and is a great step dad to her two kids. His life is perfect until their real dad, Marc Wahlburg, shows up and turns out to be Mr. Perfect.

Some funny moments, but not as many as you'd expect. Awkward humor is strong here. So if you cringed when Michael Scott was doing embarrassing shit, there's a good 15-20 minutes of it here.

The kids are almost afterthoughts. Griff and the boss, Thomas Haden Church, have some great lines.

Worth seeing on Netflix if you've got nothing else.

The final scene is pretty funny, and well shot. Hard to explain it without spoiling anything, but pay attention to more than just the dialogue and you'll see that Marc looks different...smaller.

It was better than I thought it would be.

The sequel is coming soon and seems to feature all the same folks (including Cena). The additions to the cast are Mel Gibson and John Lithgow as Wahlberg and Ferrell's fathers, which could be interesting/funny.
