Yay Netflix!
A biker, Brian Fogel, tries to create a documentary showcasing what PEDs do to improve his results. He does this with the help of a guy at UCLA who created the tests to detect this stuff, however that guy gets cold feet and recommends a Russian he knows. That Russian happens to be the head of Russia's anti-doping agency.
In the middle of their experiment the Russian doping scandal hits and the documentary gets a lot more interesting. Brian Fogel basically falls into the perfect spot for a documentarian to be when a massive scandal hits.
Grigory Rodchenkov is the man at the center of the scandal and he's amazingly likeable. Brian Fogel, to his credit, immediately went from in front of the camera to behind it.
Excellent, excellent documentary that isn't just about sports, but how fucked and corrupt the Russian government, the IOC, and probably lots of other governments/organizations are.
See it.
