And honestly you never really will without being one (I sure as hell don't). My wife has an aunt that is basically Mewes' mother (replace HIV with Hep C and who knows what else). It may be an interesting thing to read about, but experiencing it is an entirely different world. The regular rules of society and reality just don't apply to junkies. Jail, rehab, it doesn't matter. All that matters is more drugs until they inevitably kill you.

When I saw Kevin Smith's spoken word thing he didn't know where Mewes was. He was lost *somewhere* in CA. I think Fark posted something when he finally showed up.

I have a lot of respect for Smith. I'm sure I mentioned, he was paid to do a 90 minute presentation, and he ended up talking for something like 5-6 hours. He also invided everyone in the audience to watch a Ben Aflek movie with him the next day, his treat. He wanted to take over the entire theatre, so we could yell at the screen and stuff without complaints.
