Coffee

Post by GORDON »

I have started drinking coffee more often since I started the early morning workouts, I needed something to get me going. I have a bean grinder so I buy it "Whole Bean" style. I used to get small bags at Walmart and it would last me 3 months, but now I get big bags at Costco and they last me about one month.

I don't really have the vocabulary to accurately describe coffee, so here's a rudimentary list of what I like and don't.

Starbucks Breakfast Blend - One of my faves, if not the best coffee I've ever made at home.

Kona Blend - Very good coffee.

Columbian Supremo - Pretty good.

Guatamalan - It tastes like someone infused what it tastes like to chew a cigarette butt you found on the sidewalk into a coffee bean.

Personal confession...

I don't get the love for coffee or beer. I've had great experiences with both, but the degree that people go overboard for them doesn't compute with me.

That being said, I find coffee to be delicious with sweets. Perhaps that's due to my Italian heritage, but I really enjoy coffee desserts, cafe/cocoa drink combos, and the very rare iced coffee.

But a cup of coffee? No thanks.

Can't stand coffee, tea, beer, or wine.

I drink way too much Coke these days. I used to drink way too much Mr. Pibb.

Coffee, all kinds, tastes like it's liquid shit directly from Satan's asshole after a three day colon cleanse.
