Flu/Strep?

Post by Leisher »

For the first time this year I'm sick. No idea if it's the flu or strep. Both are going around right now. I worked our school carnival Friday and went to my nephew's birthday party Saturday, so I've been exposed...

So, of course, my co-worker is on vacation all week, I get a rare off hours call resulting in me driving in, our company's internet connection takes a shit, the control room's camera system goes offline, a big order of Surface books comes in at Best Buy with directives to pick them up this week or they'll be put back on shelves, I've got a landline/mobile audit this afternoon, and about a dozen other "fires" that never seem to pop up when I'm the one on vacation.

Nyquil, Sudafed, cough drops/honey, plenty of fluids (Propel or PediaLyte), and some caffeine to boot. Should knock that shit out in a week or less while keeping you vertical for 8-10 hours per day.

Apparently, I had some sort of infection in my throat. Day 5 and it's still sore. Now it looks like I've got a sinus infection on top of it. Yay! In a bit of good timing my annual physical is Friday morning so I hope to be on antibiotics by noon tomorrow.

Never had it, but I did think of you this weekend. My throat was healing and I was in that annoying phase where you're trying to sleep, but the back of your throat is dry and it's making you want to cough non-stop. Made me think of you because you said your throat feels like that whenever you work the glory hole.

Anyway...I got prescribed a Z Pack on Friday and I'm pretty close to normal again today.
