“Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole.” - Dr Thomas Sowell

W95 was the OS that made me give up on OS/2 Warp. I loved OS/2... but IBM sucked, and W95 came out and worked.
It's not me, it's someone else.

“God this is such a pain in the ass,” said Daniel, age 17.

It was, Daniel. It was.

He ought to try running some of the last-gen DOS games on that thing. It was around the time FMV was the fad, so some of the DOS memory requirements got downright insane.

Some classics:
7th Guest
Phantasmagoria
WC3 and 4 (even 1 and 2 sucked, but these two were in their own league)
Privateer I and II (OMG FUCK getting Privateer II to run on W95 ... I forget the magic formula you had to follow)
Ultima VII: the Black Gate and its goddamned, shove a broomstick up your ass sideways Voodoo memory manager
Ultima VIII: Pagan
Diogenes of Sinope: "It is not that I am mad, it is only that my head is different from yours."
Arnold Judas Rimmer, BSC, SSC: "Better dead than smeg."
