You go to make a movie and all you do is get criticized. And, people try to make decisions about what you’re going to do before you do it. You know, it’s not much fun. He was pissing and moaning like this right after Red Tails flopped. I recall not so vague undertones of racist accusations in his rants, too. The cold fact is that he hasn't written anything above "shit" since 1989. I'd apologize to fans of Radioland Murders, but there fucking aren't any.

Any time a Hollywood property that's about black people or stars black people fails, racism is always cited as a reason.
The irony of such claims is obviously ignored. As is the fact that black people don't really support black products.
