So who has CCW?

For stuff that is general.

Remember what happened in Legends of the Fall - be careful.

I'm Aidan Quinn in this analogy.

Ugh, I've tried to forget that movie. Too much of a downer.

What the fuck ever. Like you'll die doing anything exciting as fighting a bear.

I plan on living after fighting the bear, because I don't like downer endings.

It's probably public record. Newspapers sometimes make a big deal out of publishing the list

They used to make me have one for my fists. They got tired of all the paper work a few years ago and let it slide.

Ha. Your fists were registers as deadly weapons? Haven't heard that in a long time. Classic.

As long as it's an open palm or back of the hand, it's only a misdemeanor.

Went to a range today to knock the rust of my skillz before my CCW class Saturday.

I am still really good with an AR-15. Felt like coming home slapping in a mag, sending the bolt home, aiming in, and sending round downrange to a target so far away it is just a grayish blur and hitting the target right in the melon. ..... I may get one next Summer after all my other big money things are done.

The nationals are 20 miles away from me.

Once I actually get a rifle, I may. They let you use scopes in that shit, don't they? It's like an Easy Button.

Next time I may have to experiment with my reading glasses, see if it helps me focus on the front sight post. That shit is harder to focus than it used to be.

Turning 40 aint no joke. You can't pretend you're young anymore when your shit is no longer 100%.

On the other hand, I still shoot WAY better than some of the goobers I saw on the range.

My buddy and I were practicing with some 9mm hand guns, and we were putting our smallish target 21 feet out, because we didn't know any better and there was a big line there (we were told that CCW qualify at that line). Anyway, 4 other guys in the other lanes had these huge man-sized targets, 10 feet out, and they were doing their clumsy, awkward, dorky-sounding "YOU ARE TRESPASSING. THE POLICE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED AND I AM AUTHORIZED TO SHOOT YOU" then bang bang bang. And I was watching these guys, they were missing the huge silhouette from 10 feet away. We were hitting a target a third of the sized from twice as far, close to center mass, and I am so rusty as to be practically noob and my buddy has fired maybe 5 shots in his life.

I said before in another thread about some cop missing a man from 3 feet away with 8 out of 10 shots.... I don't see how that's humanly possible. I could be blindfolded and drunk and still not miss a target that close.

Anyway, these are the types of people with CCW permits, I guess.

And for the record, I am not getting one so I can "no big deal"
with a gun on my hip.... I just want to be able to transport one, without drawing attention to it, and not get F'd in the A if I ever get pulled over or something.
