Leno is getting the boot. Good. Fuck him.

Take away the shitty thing he did with O'Brien and you're still left with a guy who, by all accounts, is a tremendous asshole who would stab his own mother in the back.

Jay Leno or Jimmy Fallon? Christ, I'd rather have Johnny Carson's corpse. But this line is the best:

One reason NBC may want to accelerate Fallon's move to 11:35 is so that he can compete with Kimmel for those same young viewers. Leno is currently winning with those 18-to-49 year olds, but Kimmel is closing in. Since Kimmel moved to 11:35 in January, he averages 936,000 viewers in the age group to Leno's 1.017.

You're giving the gig to Jimmy Fallon in hopes that he's going to beat Jimmy Kimmel for the 18-49 demographic? I'm taking bets against, starting right now.

Reruns of Family Guy on Adult Swim used to get 435k a couple years ago, if I recall correctly, when [AS] used to put those figures in their bumps.

I think they're worried Kimmel is only going to increase his trend as Jay Leno becomes older and more geriatric (than he already is).

I don't get moving Jimmy Fallon to the top spot.

I mean no offense to him in any way, but am I the only one who wants to punch him in the face whenever you see him?

I've seen him be funny, and he seems like a good person, but there's something about him that makes me want to punch him.

Perhaps it's the way he was on SNL, because admittedly, the tendencies aren't as strong anymore...

Not even a million views? Hell, there are sponsored daily shows on YouTube that get more than a million views.

If they really want the 18-49 demo they're really going to have to start broadcasting online. Because increasingly that's where that demo is, at least on the young end of that spectrum.

I can remember the last time I watched one of the late night talk shows... it was when I DVR'd Matt Smith's appearance on Craig Killborn about 18 months ago. Can't remember the last time I watched one prior to then. I know I haven't watched any of them since.

I have no opinion on this matter. Means nothing to me.

I can't remember the last time I actually watched any of those shows. But out of all of them, I like Jimmy Fallon the most. When I watch clips on Youtube, it's mostly Fallon followed by Kimmel. I can't stand Leno. I'm not exposed to Letterman any more, but I still like him from back in the old days. Never watched much of Conan either, but always liked what I saw.

Way, way left.

I've always found Leno annoying, and he's an obvious phony.

Letterman was awesome until he got screwed by NBC. I think that really altered his personality. He's still entertaining when not talking politics, but when he does, there's really not a lot of difference between him and someone like Fred Phelps.

I like Kimmel and I like Conan.

That being said, I never watch any of these shows because I'm typically watching Sportscenter or playing LoL when they're on.

It's like everyone forgot that they hated Fallon when he was on SNL because he couldn't get through a single skit without laughing.

That being said, he seems to be doing well.

He continued, "I think he’s a talented guy, I think he’s funny. But he has a mean streak, and it comes across.

So you're keeping track at home whatever Kimmel does isn't funny. What is HILARIOUS is mocking people and being condescending like interviewing people on the street to see how stupid they are (a Leno staple) while you sit smugly in the studio. Hell, Colbert's entire character was based on that type of humor, but to Leno that's not mean...
