Do not like corn dogs... I like the idea... I mean I like hushpuppies and I like hot dogs... but they just don't work for me.

I don't put ketchup on regular dogs, but for some reason I love it with corn dogs.

"What do you put on your hot dogs" might be another poll, and anyone who says ketchup gets banned.

With hot dogs it's too unpredictable for me. Could be chili and cheese, could be sauerkraut, could be pickle relish.

But never ketchup.

I admit to enjoying catsup on my hot dogs, when I ate them so long ago.

I must admit I'm picky about my corndogs. I'm only interested in the particularly good ones. The breading needs to be a little bit sweet, somewhat thick, and fried to a deep crunchy brown goodness. The dog has to be juicy and tasty.

There used to be a place in the malls around here called Corndog 7 that were the best, but they went out of business. The ones at Sonic and James Coney Island are just not good enough. Sometimes you get lucky at county fairs, though, and find a spectacular corndog.

I like mustard. Any will do, but yellow mustard is traditional since I consider if county fair cuisine.

I had three hot dogs tonight. On one I always do just mustard (preferably a spicy mustard), on another I always just do hot sauce (usually Franks Red Hot), and on the third I put everything (mustard, ketchup, relish, onions, or whatever else I have). The everything hot dog reminds me of the Dodger Dogs I'd have as a kid.

My standard dog is heavy mustard.

If they are fresh from the garden I will add onions.

If I am feeling decadent it is mustard, onions, and a good chili sauce.

I think the last time I had a corn dog was at a carnival a few years back. Mustard is the only choice as a topping.

Butter would complement the cornbread -- and the dog too, probably.

On either a hot dog or corn dog its mustard or go home. only other topping would be a good chili.
