Logan
Logan
Jackman and Mangold are returning.
No title yet, thus the Wolverine 3 thread name.
Considering The Wolverine is the best version of Logan to date, I'm happy to see the major guys involved are returning.

Jackman wants the next Wolverine film to be better.
The most interesting tidbit is that they're considering "Old Man Logan", which was written by Mark Millar and beautifully drawn by Steve McNiven.
It's one of the best, if not the best, Wolverine story ever told.
It's about how the villains won, what they did to the world, and what they did to Logan that turned him into a pacifist.
The problem with that story is that it doesn't work without all the rights to the Marvel library. Hell, the only other mutants in the movie are in what would amount to a 10 minute scene. Every single other character in the story are characters that Marvel owns the rights to, so I think we'd be getting a very bastardized version.
If you like the character, and have never read this book, head to your bookstore and grab a copy. Or just grab a cup of coffee, sit down, and read it there. Highly recommended.

Jackman says he recently watched Birdman, and it showed him that he doesn't want to end up like Keaton's character, lamenting his lost past. So now he wants to keep playing Wolverine until he dies.

Hugh Jackman's last stand.
I like that he's looking for input from fans. I love that so many folks are saying Old Man Logan.
Although, wouldn't that be the perfect story for him to return to the character with in 10-15 years?

Re: Wolverine 3
(Yes, both threads bitches.)
This new Wolverine movie really looks like it's going to be Old Man Logan (but without the Marvel characters, so bummer...).
Fucking Ryan Reynolds IS Deadpool.

Re: Wolverine 3
First trailer and it looks strong.
This is NOT "Old Man Logan", but it seems like a similar concept. I highly, highly, highly recommend picking up that TPB if you have any interest in Wolverine or the Marvel Universe. (Be careful not to mistake the current ongoing series "Old Man Logan" for the story I'm recommending. See my link!)
I think the trailer gives away one thing, and I won't spoil who the girl is... (Not that most of you would know, but you could google it.)

I liked his reasoning. He must really be proud of his work in Logan.

That was an amazing movie. Maybe even perfect.
There was a woman somewhere in the theater openly sobbing at the end.

Patrick Stewart interview
What was the first thing you heard about an X-Men movie?
The very first thing I ever heard about X-Men, the first time I ever heard that title used, was one afternoon when I'd been doing some ADR for [Superman director] Richard Donner, on a movie of his that I had been in. I got a note to call in at Lauren Shuler Donner's office – that's his wife, the producer. I walked in the door, Lauren picked something up from her desk and held it up. And I looked at it, and I said, "What am I doing on the front of a comic book?" And she said, "Exactly."
