Are you broken?
There's a scene in the movie 2010 where they're talking about the food they miss and Scheider talks about hot dogs at Fenway Park that have been boiling since Spring training.... or something like that.
I dont care for grill marks on my dogs. Conversely, as a child at cub scout camp some dick gave me a hard time for not eating a dog that had been half burned on the grill.
Imprinted on me.

This is a good point.. Stadium dogs are some of the best I've ever had. What the hell do they do to them? I can't make a boiled dog taste like that at all!

If boiled, I like them super fresh and soft. Nearly moist, but not moist enough that you would call it moist.
If grilled, I put the buns on the grill for about 60 seconds, just long enough to get the grill marks on the top edge of the bun a little. But if I am grilling dogs for the wife then I usually say fuckit and just make myself a steak. She only eats steak well done, and that means she doesn't like steak at all, so she prefers dogs.

My aunt had one of those hot-dog-electrocution devices. I think we used it once for the novelty and she never used it again because she was a hoarder and it ended up in a box in the dining room or something.
