Talking about GI Joe (the real ones that were a foot tall) made me think about these. Anyone else old enough to remember these? They were about a foot tall. Made of entirely molded plastic. Each one came with a crap ton of accessories which was what made them so cool. Rifles and 6 shooters with removable holsters, knives, canteens. I remember having the bad guy (forget his name) and he had a Derringer pistol that snapped into his belt buckle.

A Derringer? That's a gun for scoundrels and whores.

Like I said, he WAS the bad guy of the series. Or at least one of them. They also had Indians and at that time it was still okay for them to be the bad guys too. Check them out on the web and look at the crap load of stuff that came with them. Today that all would have been packaged and sold separately.

YES! I forgot about the cane. Thinking it had a blade handle or something.

*edit* Oh! And the dynamite!

Yeah, I got a foot-tall GI Joe when I was 5 before my Dad got laid off the rail road and I became poor. Thanks for bringing up painful memories. Trigger warning that shit.

It had a parachute, too.

I got the big yellow helicopter for my GI Joe. That was pretty cool. Good thing your poor GI Joe had the parachute because my not quite as poor Joe would have thrown your poor Joe's ass out of my helicopter (even though it was a one seater)

I remember he had a beard, just like my dad.

Now that I think about it, how the hell did they get the hair on those? Long hair on dolls is done with plugs. How did they do the buzz cuts?

I never had a GI Joe and all my friends made fun of me for it.
