It wasn't Iron Man. Comics have been getting made into films since the dawn of time, but it was the Spider-Man/X-Men franchises that opened up Hollywood's eyes.

Then you had Daredevil, Hulk, Iron Man, the new Batman movies, 300, Watchmen, Wanted, Spawn, Punisher, etc.

I'm forgetting a TON too as many films as comics and you just don't realize it.

Not all comics are about superheroes.

I put Spiderman first, but then I realized it was funny to make a wrought-iron-man joke.

Another of the early ones was The Crow.

Back then you had to search the end credits to see that the movie was based on a "graphic novel". Somewhere between Sin City and 300 was when I started to notice "based on the graphic novel" being part of the promotional material.

I didn't really know where else to put this image so I randomly searched for a comics thread in this forum...

And for that matter, what's the lightening bolt? I thought Flash, but the Flash movie is right above that.

I believe those are Aquaman and Shazam.

Bleh. Black Panther, Shazam, Captain Marvel, Gambit? Fucking Gambit? Funny how the Wonder Woman logo looks a lot like the old WWF one.

I think it's a shot of Aquaman's vagina.
