Letterman retiring

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I don't think I was ever really a fan. Even back in his NBC days. But he was at least not bitter back then.

I remember one time I laughed at something on that show. I think it was about 1993.

He was entertaining way back in the beginning. The Leno thing started a chain of events that made him an elitist douche.

That was a substantial "fuck you" from the network. Took it a bit too far, though. He always looked comparatively better to Leno.

It would be funny if they did a bit about how Letterman changes his mind and kick Colbert off the show.

I guarantee something like that occurs in skit form. It'll be Letterman's parting shot at Leno.

I worry Colbert won't be as funny if he isn't doing his cartoon evil republican schtick.

I got faith in him. I'm unsure how he'll handle something that's not cable. Network might constrain him.

He's a nice and mostly quiet guy. A bit liberal, but not offensively so.

He couldn't even testify in front of Congress without being in some sort of character a few months ago. If I recall, he wasn't finding his audience (congress) nearly as tolerant of his work as everyone else. Kind of made him look bad.

Well, he's a huge geek, so he'll probably be fine. I liked him since he was on the Daily Show.
