I won't say where or what my experience was yet, but I will say it wasn't the Waffle House.
So this is for you southern folks and Gordon: What makes a good chicken and waffles dish?
“Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole.” - Dr Thomas Sowell
His few gay orgies per week do not lessen his Southern-ness.
Diogenes of Sinope: "It is not that I am mad, it is only that my head is different from yours."
Arnold Judas Rimmer, BSC, SSC: "Better dead than smeg."
It's much better if you find a place that fries their chicken in a more homemade pan-fried manner than a commercial deep-fried method. More like how you'd cook chicken fried steak rather than fried chicken. And of course you need a good waffle that's a bit crispy but still nice an moist on the inside. Then drown it in syrup. Not maple syrup - this is not a yankee dish - a good light cane syrup.
It's a hard thing to do well. Most places I've had it fall down on at least one of these three points.
