"I say, surely you must be jesting, sir! There is no way those new fangled 'films' being produced by Mr. Edison could ever be called art. Why I myself have been to the nickelodeon and watched the entirety of his Battle of Chemulpo Bay myself, so I know well this matter. These flashy shows leave no time for the viewer to reflect upon the meaning, there is no room for subtlety, and worst of all they can't even be made in color. They are all grainy and black & white and the movement is jerky at best.
