Anyone here know much about them?
I want an AR-15, M-16 looking one. I see many manufacturers and many different prices. I know much of the price difference is due to dealer pre ban rush mark up. But I'm under the impression that some weapons come with certain upgrades over others. Different barrels, receivers, etc. Anyone know a good website to learn what's available and what the differences are?
For instance, I saw a Colt 6920 for $900 at Walmart and then a Colt 6920 for $1500 elsewhere. And this was years ago before ANYTHING ban related was coming up. Skimming over the descriptions implied upgrades on the $1500 version. I'm I'm not even talking about scopes, lights, etc. Cosmetically, they were identical and equipped the same. Untrained eyes would see the exact same weapon.

I don't know a lot but it's my understanding that the great thing about AR-15's is that that parts are so interchangeable. Once you have the lower you can attach a plethora of stuff to it, most of which fits any AR.-15.
When I got my .44 magnum revolver I considered getting an AR as an investment. I wish I had because they more than doubled in price after a few months.
Investment-wise, the higher end stuff will appreciate quicker than the lower-end stuff. People are always looking to sell their lower-end stuff to buy higher-end stuff, which creates more supply for the low-end and greater demand for the high-end (I see that on Armslist.com all the time).
