If you've played X-Men Legends I or II for the XBox, you've played this. It's the same engine with more bells & whistles. Game takes place during the superhero registration arc from a few years back. This means that, yes, you get to pick which side you want to support, which has the effect of cutting off half the potential characters to choose from. In addition, there's a few that are only unlocked when you find some baubles scattered across the various stages. It'd be nice if the developers made all the superheroes approximately equally powerful. As it is, you'll only want to play as a handful of them, most just suck. I'm looking at you, Ironman and Captain America.
