Never heard the term "first generation immigrant" in my life. I've heard "X generation American" a lot though.

I thought maybe they left, had a kid elsewhere, and then when that kid came they were second generation. Then repeating the process, their kid would be third generation. Sorry, but not every friend group has a white person, black person, Asian, gay person, men, women, midget, Muslim, Jews, and every other demo that can be shoved in there.

Not saying such a thing can't exist, but when it's in every show, it's pretty blatant pandering.

The last several disney productions, from Pixar movies to MCU shows, the female protagonist is either explicitly, or implied to be, queer/bisexual.

HBO stuff, too. In Last of Us, whatsherface had a girlfriend.

I mean, I did notably not see "is homosexual" on that graphic. I think the majority is (surprisingly) ok with same sex relationships as long as they are gender normative. I was just talking to my parents over drinks about this - to some people/generations/cultures - T's just give people the "ick". I'm not sure they should have to apologize for that, but I don't think we should propose 34 laws against them, Texas, this week.

I think the agreed upon number is much higher than 3%? Enough that people are ok with seeing it.

IIRC, last census said 2% 5.5% gay.

I don't think even 5.5% justifies making every teen girl on TV and movies gay.

I think the youngest generation is always the gayest. They even out as they age but they gotta be double the 5-6%.

Cuz, you know, grooming is either a thing, or it isn't. And maybe this is the problem people have with drag queen story time with young children. And "everyone is queer in spite of only 5% self identifying as such!"

No argument. I've always recognized the big religions believe in "get them while they're young."

So I guess as a society we're selective in the grooming we'll allow.... even though it could be argued that organized religion has spilled more blood than any other thing, and that's the thing we're ok with.
