Second time in a week that I've completed a match getting the last kill only to discover that had I not gotten that kill, I would have earned the achievement for doing the most damage in a match without getting a kill.
I made some adjustments to my IM. Not sure if I like them or not. Added armor, double heat sinks, dropped the AC10 in favor of another AC5 and MLs...
I did just do 800+ damage in my first game during lunch, and got over 100 on my match score, but it doesn't seem to have the "Go fuck yourself and die" factor my CTF-4X brings.
I will be on tonight and tomorrow night.
By the way, this is hitting soon and is such a big deal even I've heard of the name, and I don't really know shit about Mechwarrior...

i had a couple of odd games myself last night. First off in however many hundred games i've played i've never had a game end in a tie. I had two last night, both ending in 10 deaths on each side.
Then in one game, i got one shotted in the head. The battle had just begun, it was on HPG Manifold map. I walked into the center of the map that is underground, to go capture theta. I hadn't taken a lick of damage yet, not even seen anyone at this point. I walked into the room right past a Jager carrying dual AC 20's and he put both rounds right into my cockpit. Next thing in know i just see my lifeless mech falling to the ground in the 3rd person camera. Considering that i have yet to get one headshot kill at all i gave the dude his props.
And that Mad Cat looks like cannonfodder to my BLR-1D! Ill blow them Mickey Mouse looking ears right off its torso just before i unload the rest of my cannons on that big ass target of a cockpit!

Keep in mind that their photo is under ideal settings. It's like the morons who watch TV commercials and think their console game is going to look that good. It doesn't occur to them that those commercials are made on PCs with top of the line equipment.

Thats a good sale, i might consider getting the Misery but i don't really need another assault right now. Missed out on the Boar's Head and Heavy Metal but again, both assaults. I'd like to have seen the Ember on sale because when i get into the lights i'm going with the Firestarter's.
Gordo might consider the Jester, 6 energy hardpoints makes it good for sniper rolls. Just run ER Large Lasers and ER PPC and you've got a nice long range direct fire mech. And the high "arms" on the Jester make it nice for hill humping, you don't have to expose much to fire your shots. Add that to the K2 you could buy with C-bills and you've got your 3 variants to master and all of them would play different than one another.

I know for sure that the Jester has endo-steel and doubles already. And unlike the other Catapults, it can hold a max engine size of 355 instead of 315 like all the others.
