It's probably coming. Word on the street it that democrats are wanting it to happen, because no matter what it makes "obstructionist republicans" look bad.

And, add the coming rise in health care costs with Obamacare, which I assume the above graphic doesn't even factor in. I have a feeling ALL health insurance are going to rise... you can't cover preexisting conditions and extend "childhood" out to age 25 to be covered on your parents insurance without costs going up.

It's funny... I still remember "the middle class will not be seeing a dime of increased taxes." Funny-sad, not funny-ha ha.

I play fairly fast and loose with my finances. All this might mean is I have to pay attention and have a legit budget, unlike Congress.
“Things change. It’s not just a matter of the numbers changing, and they do,” Mr. Durbin said of shifting deficit projections, revenue forecasts and spending totals. “It’s also a matter of the political environment, and the landscape changing.”

Well, look who it is again. It's Dick "I'm a dick" Durbin, the Illinois Congreesman who's bucking to be the male version of Nancy Pelosi.

Considering the auto industry in this country was on life support for a bit, "let failing shit fail" seems like a decent idea.

I think for my house, between higher taxes and Obamacare, it is going to end the big vacations we take once a year. Going to Yellowstone next summer, it's already booked, but that could be the last one.

For me, it's really down to: fewer concerts, more rigourously enforced self-budgeting, less going out, more home/off-site brewing as opposed to normal booze runs, etc.

That, too, unless I literally start rolling my own.
