The more I think about it, the people attending these Occupy! rallies may be the dumbest people in the country. I am not saying that as hyperbole, I really mean it. These people are painfully stupid, have made bad decisions all their lives in regards to their debt load and educational choices and the viral breeding grounds in which they choose to hang out, and none of them really have any idea what they are protesting about beyond, "I want more stuff."

You notice how there are no longer any DEADLY SERIOUS pictures going around of young people holding signs talking about how they paid lots of money for worthless degrees, and now can't find a job, and I AM THE 99%? Those sort of backfired, didn't they. They were never on the mainstream media, of which Fox News is only a part. Even when the networks try to make these people look sympathetic, they end up looking stupid and pathetic.

A have little sympathy for people who don't own their own bad decisions, and instead blame society and the colleges that gave them the degree and the federal student loan program for letting them do what they want and finally capitalism and those they perceive as keeping them down.

If they would just own their bad decisions they might be able to grow up and move on, but instead they are trying to get tuberculosis while loitering in a park and CHANGING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

You know they "1%" hasn't even noticed these protests beyond the downwind stink, right? You know that absolutely nothing has changed, or is going to change?

The extreme irony (to me, anyway) is that the "top 1%" are HUGE supporters of the Democrat party. Goldman Sachs, for example.

And these people think Obama isn't 1%? Half of congress are millionaires, and the 1%?

This is a protest against capitalism, the very thing that created every creature comfort they take for granted. It boggles the mind. GIMME UR STUFF IT ISNT FAIR.

These idiots are just a symptom. The real problem is the educational system. The way it's set up currently it actively encourages people to get useless shitty degrees and discourages them studying useful things like a/c repair or welding, etc. The academics are in charge of the system, and the problem is the academics are retarded when it comes to practicality and the real world.

These kids have it shoved down their throats every day of their lives that they should go get a four-year degree in English or Philosophy because technical and trade schools are a waste of time. Meanwhile our tech grads are making six-figure incomes in a bad economy. As much as I dislike these Occupy kids for being idiots, I blame the people that have been brainwashing them for all their lives.

Active protests today.

One of their goals is to shut down Wall Street and cause problems for New Yorkers this evening.

So far all they've done is hurt laborers trying to do their jobs.

And is it just me or does 700 people, in New York city sound a bit shy of 99%?

In other Occupy news, they're discussing making demands. To who? For what in return? Did I miss something? Are they holding hostages now? There's 700 of them. 700. They're not even 1%!!!! What demands can they possibly make.

And in a moment of "duh", they can't agree on their demands. Why? Because they're made up of so many different groups all with their own agendas that they're starting to realize they're not all their for the same reasons.

The more I think about it, the people attending these Occupy! rallies may be the dumbest people in the country.

Just watch a video of a group of them getting pepper sprayed. I was crackin' up. It was crazy how out of proportion they were blowing things. It reminded me of the hippy video where they were bawling and yelling in the woods for the trees and rocks.

Losers!
REBECCA CHAPMAN, who has a master of arts in English and comparative literature from Columbia University, hit bottom professionally last summer when she could not even get a job that did not pay....
Fueled by B.Y.O.B. bourbon, impressive degrees and the angst that comes with being young and unmoored, members spend their hours filling the air with talk of Edmund Wilson and poststructuralism.

"Impressive degrees?" Guess it depends on who you're trying to impress. Apparently, it doesn't impress the ignorant, philistine EMPLOYERS. But hey, you got writ up in the NYT.

I said SOMEWHERE on this forum weeks ago that we are seeing the results of what we have been discussing on dtman.com for a decade, about the first self-entitled generation in this country. Adam just said the same thing.

I can't find the post, but I remember writing it.

Moving to DC.

I think it's funny how they are almost completely forgotten at this point.

Still, I'll give them the tiniest amount of credit for actually listening to people telling them they were in the wrong place.

One of my FB friends posted this yesterday:

"Happy Birthday to Martin Luther King, Jr. An inspiration and proof that non-violence can work. It should give the Occupy protestors some hope."

Gag.

I would bet a dollar that the majority of Occupy! Protesters would kill someone if they it would lead to what they perceive to be 'social justice,' and they would not be punished for it.
