7 days in, 6 pounds lost. A pound behind my goal. Have 21 days to go.

It is very difficult not eating pizza and hamburgers and french fries and breaded chicken chunks and hashed browns.

I think of it like this: would you rather be the hunter or the prey? Prey eat plants all day long. Hunters fast while they hunt, then they feast on some juicy fat meat.

Be a hunter. Look at those fangs and claws. You're a killer.

1.5 pounds lost last 8 days... 40.5 to go. Entering the slow and steady phase, goal 2 lbs/wk.

Had half a bottle of red wine vinegar in the fridge, so I put in an inch of olive oil so I'd have a low-carb topping for salads and veggies and shit.

The oil congealed in about 5 days and I was afraid to eat it any more. Was like a paraffin cap on top of the vinegar.

You put olive oil in the fridge? Yes, it congeals. Let it warm up, and it'll melt.

This diet is pissing me off.

Yesterday I slept a little late, then started doing some things. I was busy so I just skipped lunch. No big deal, I wasn't that hungry anyway. Stayed busy until 5pm. For supper I had 1.5 grilled, skinless chicken breasts that I was dipping in some leftover homemade marinara, and a serving of carrots, and water. Last night I had a big cup of hot tea with 0-calorie sweetener.

Today I was a pound heavier than yesterday.

And my headache has not really gone away for almost 2 weeks, now.

My headache never really went away. It got better, but would still be there. I never made it past a month though.

I found the 4-hour body diet more tolerable. Similar, but allows beans, which was enough carbs for my body to function better.

I lost 3 pounds since last weigh-in. Although, I switched to another pair of jeans that don't require a belt (0.6 lbs), and feel lighter than the other jeans, so that's probably 1 pound of it.

.4 down since the last check-in. I cheated over the Weekend of Aint Doing Shit.

I plan on another 5 pounds +-1 by the 28th.

I figured out why I have been so cold the last few days... it is because I am losing the insulating, whale-blubber fat layer.

Either that or a brain tumor.

And then some days just don't make sense when you stick to the diet and wake up 1.6 pounds heavier than you were the day before.

My clothes are fitting me again, that's nice.

Just wait til you have to buy new clothes, because your current clothes are too big.

I am thinking I will continue this diet beyond February, maybe with a day during the week where I relax and just go to a restaurant or something. I don't like it much but it isn't HORRIBLE not eating hamburger buns, spaghetti, french fried, etc. I'll see if I can tone it down to just losing a pound a week, or so, instead of the 4 pounds/week I have averaged in February.

Plus I am still allowed a 12 oz beer every day, and that suits me just fine.

I am calling it POUND A DAY FEBRUAR-AY. See, it rhymes.

Also I am stopping Feb 28 and eating on the 29th because that Leap Year day is bullshit.

Yes, goal is a pound a day. Will be difficult on the 4th when there is going to be a really good dinner with an open bar.
As of today, I have officially lost 15 pounds in the month of February by doing nothing more than cutting sugar, potatoes, grains, and dairy out of my diet. Ate a shitload of meat and tomatoes.

Cheated 4 times, that I recall, when I just NEEDED pizza.

And one night with an open bar.

So there we are.

Going to a barbecue place tonight.

Big week, 3.5 pounds down... 15.5 total gone, 33.5 to go.
2 more gone, 17.5 total, 31.5 to go.

I've basically just stopped eating after dinner, and am only eating when hungry, stopping when full, and biking more. (Biked home from work yesterday, back to work today).

Good job, Gordon.
