So during the basketball game on the USS Carl Vinson, they were folding the flag for evening colors.

Should the CinC have been saluting the flag, or hand over heart?

Hand over heart, as far as I know. Civilian.

I assume CinC is Commander in Chief, Obama?

Not even active duty Marines salute unless they are wearing a cover, and then not indoors unless they are under arms.

I guess Obama gave some sloppy, shitbird salute?

I didn't really look very closely. But his wife doesn't have a good game face for suffering things she doesn't like.

Well, compared to Marines EVERY other branch gives sloppy, shitbird salutes. And civilians are just right out.
