Is 5.8 a big deal?
Dunno, many people in my office felt it (I was getting lunch at the time, didn't notice anything)... but apparently a nuke plant is about 7 miles from there, so could be a big deal.
We're about 150-200 miles away from it, I would guess.

In California, they don't even notice a 5.8. If you'll notice in the video, no one stumbles while walking and the only thing that seems to be shaking is the probably poorly-mounted camera. At 5.8 it's only about 10 times worse then a very large truck driving past your house.
