The MSDN site is a bit flaky this week cuz VS.Net 2010, .Net 4, Office 2010, and SQL Server 2k8 R2 all came out, iirc.

.Net 4 installed without any troubles. VS2010 failed on the file verification part of the install. I think I may stick to 2008 until that thing stabilizes.

Ordered a 1TB Western Digital external. Base hardware setup is good to go. Next steps involve getting a dock & a couple LCDs (& preferably a decent flatscreen TV).
