The Ring 2 - trailer

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I don't care what anyone says, that was one of the scariest movie I ever saw. Even the third time I had seen it I jumped at certain parts. Just watching the trailer gave me chills. Damn, I just know someone is going to force me to go see this in the theater.

Now I'll wait and watch as everyone says it was a stupid movie and not scary....

My bank account balance is scarier.

I saw it under weird circumstances.

We kept seeing the boom microphone, and on close ups we'd lose the bottom half of people's faces. Evidently the projector was positioned so that it showed too much of the top of the film cells, thereby cropping out the bottom.

When the scene came up where they examined the VHS tape, and found that there were images on the sides of the tape (where recorders don't record) it made me suspect that showing the microphones was part of that.

At the point where we thought the movie was over, the image slipped some more and we saw the top half of the movie at the top of the screen, and the bottom half of the movie at the top.

Since the movie was about over, people didn't get up. Plus, I wasn't sure if it wasn't part of the movie. I mean, they could have faked a messed up projector to show the evil chick out of the film cell, addressing the audience.

After a few more minutes it became apparant that there was a bit more movie to go, and the film problem wasn't fake, so someone ran out and told management.

By that point I had pretty much checked out of the moment, so the ending didn't have the affect it should have.

Never saw it.

Is this really a must see?

As much as the remake of House on Haunted Hill was a "must see," and I remember you saw that.

Ring has some spooky images and ideas that make it worth sitting through.

The Ring is important because it represents an Americanized adaptation of a big horror genre in Japan (Like The Grudge). Horror movie officianados will call it a must see.

Like Gordon said, it's worth seeing. Just don't kick yourself if you never find the time to see it.

Of course, I'm not a horror officianado.

I like horror, although I dig serial killers more than supernatural stuff.

I sure as fuck ain't, either, but I consider myself to be a bit more into the genre than others. This ain't a must see. Not by a long fucking shot.

Resets horizon. Ah, so it's ok, but not the greatest. Gotcha.
