Six-String Samurai

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

In 1957, the bomb drops, and the Russians took over what was America.

The last bastion of freedom became a place called Lost Vegas and Elvis was crowned King.

After forty rockin' years, the King is dead.

Every guitar picking, sword swinging opportunist, including Death himself, hears the call echoing across the wastelands.

Vegas needs a new King.

At first I didn't like Six-String Samurai. It seemed pretty stupid. Eventually, though, it really began to grow on me. It's so very ... odd. There's some quality to it that is similar to the Sockbaby stuff (although not nearly as charming).

One thing is for sure, though: it's got a very unique sound.

SIX STRING SAMURAI has a great sushi-western soundtrack featuring cool-rockin' sur-a-billy and twangly ballads from those crazed Cossacks, the Red Elvises, plus a sinfully scintillating score by Brian Tayler.

All in all, I give it 6 out of 10 on the charmingly bad movie scale, although that includes 2 bonus points for the music.

Trailer: WARNING, this trailer is much cooler than the actual movie it portrays.

The movie was weirdly cool till about the last 15 minutes. Then it turned into a shitfest.

Yeah, I guess I should have warned you to just stop the movie when Death and Buddy start to play guitar at each other. Would you have done it, though? Probably not.
