PSU lost 11 recruits to Va Tech.

ESPN's ratings are shit. 247/Rivals/On3 are better. Top 20 is awesome. Especially in a weakened ACC. Maybe you'll become the new power in that conference?

I think we need more than 1 good recruiting year. But it's a start. I'd kill for 8-4 right now :)

Definitely curious. I'd be in favor of all individual prop bets being eliminated from legal gambling.

Tough slate!

GA suing player who transferred.

This'll be interesting.

Alabama, Miami in, Notre Dame out as Indiana leads 12-team CFP field
I can live with that. Still think it should have been Bama out, though.

Agreed.

Yeah, I was pretty unfazed by the game yesterday. Indiana got away with some of the most egregious holding I've ever seen (See below), Sayin just looked off the whole game, gameplan was super conservative, we missed a 27 yard FG to tie, went for it and failed another time we could have tied it at 13 all, etc.

Plus, the last time OSU lost their last game 13-10 after the FG kicker missed a FG to tie, it worked out pretty well...

I genuinely cannot remember the last time ND wasn't whining about something.

More coaches returning to help Old Miss in CFP.

I find it interesting that everyone is welcome back, except Kiffin.

How does this work for salaries and stuff? Or they just don't worry about that?

Great question. I don't know. I would assume they're being paid by LSU now?

For what it's worth, here's what Co-Pilot says:
Great question! When a college football coach accepts a new job but returns to coach their old team in a bowl game, the salary situation depends on the contractual agreements between the coach and both schools. Here’s how it typically works:
1. Primary Employer During Bowl Game

The old school usually continues paying the coach for the bowl game because the coach is still fulfilling duties under their existing contract until the game is completed.
This is often formalized in a transition agreement or a clause in the original contract that covers postseason obligations.

2. New School’s Role

The new school generally does not pay the coach until they officially start their duties there (often after the bowl game).
Sometimes, the new school and old school agree on a start date that avoids overlap, so the coach isn’t double-paid.

3. Special Cases

If the coach signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the new school before the bowl game, the MOU usually specifies that compensation begins after the coach completes obligations at the old school.
Buyout clauses and bonuses can complicate things. For example, if the old school owes a buyout to release the coach early, that’s separate from salary for the bowl game.

4. Bonuses

Bowl-related bonuses almost always come from the old school, since they are tied to that team’s performance.

In short: the old school pays the coach for the bowl game, and the new school starts paying after the agreed start date. This avoids double compensation and keeps things clean contractually. [cbssports.com]
Would you like me to pull up a real-world example of a coach who did this recently (like Jon Sumrall or others) and show how their contracts handled it?
