Bojangle's

I've been thinking about this for the 3 hours since lunch, and I'm ready for this fight...

Popeye's Chicken Tenders > Bojangle's Chicken Tenders

And it's not even close.

I don't eat chicken tenders in general, and never had the Popeye's ones. The Bo ones are just OK, so this is entirely believable.

The real fight would be actual fried chiken.

That's fair. However, I avoid the fried chicken for lunch because I don't want greasy hands.

I would argue the Popeye's tenders might be the absolute best in the business

Did they change their menu in the last 5 years? Did they rebrand? What's their deal?

I'm eating there the last couple of days and I feel like they used to have more stuff. It's been a number of years since I've been, and maybe I'm mixing Chick fil a's menu into my memory of Bojangle's. But didn't they have a deluxe version with lettuce and tomatoes? Maybe one with bacon? Had one yesterday, but it was grilled and dry, but did have lettuce and tomatoes. Tried the breaded sandwich. Mayonnaise and one pickle? Also, this store didn't have cheerwine. I've never been to a Bojangle's that didn't have Cheerwine. They also left the seasoning off the fries. No seasoning and no Cheerwine? What a waste of a fast food visit. My 2 experiences have been major letdowns. Bojangle's was always something we looked forward to in the past when driving through the south.

How long have their signs just been Bo?

Also, I've never done a side by side. . . but is their seasoning just Lawry's?

He's in Richburg, SC.

Last time I was there I noticed the menu had changed as well.

Hit up Zaxby's for a salad or head the other way and hit Lancaster. They have a new chain BBQ type of place that wasn't terrible. I forget the name.

The most disgusting Bojangles I've ever visited was in SC. Swore off the whole state.

Had a running bet with my good friend down there every time we went to lunch, so this is food adjacent.

We had to see an 8 or better for me to declare the area acceptable.

Never saw anything remotely close in Richburg. There was a little cutie in Lancaster working at the Home Depot that hit the 8 mark. Also, saw an 8 at a restaurant in Rock Hill once, but nothing in Richburg or Chester.

I'm not sure of the last time I saw an 8 in all of Toledo. Aside from my partner of course.

They're not going the places you're going grandpa. :D

I'm still in the workforce and see them all over the place. Although, they are not as plentiful as they once were. I don't think it's the area though, but changes in our society. For example, obesity rates continue to grow.

I also wonder how much my own tastes factor into it. Younger girls are basically invisible to me now, except in our picture thread. I've got two 16 year olds and a 19 year old. Girls that age are essentially invisible to me now. My wheelhouse is now women in their 30s. Talking to other dads, this is apparently a very common thing. I guess at some point in the future I'll see those 20sih year olds again, but I have to still be alive when my kids hit 40.

This thread is derailed AF.
