According to insider reports, including one from Ollie Connolly of The Guardian, Belichick has presented the university with a unique condition: a guarantee that his son, Stephen Belichick, will take over the reins as head coach once he steps down. The idea may seem unconventional, but North Carolina is reportedly warming up to the notion, opening the door to what could be a transformative era for the Tar Heels.

This just keeps getting stranger.

Did Bill get diagnosed with a terminal disease and he's just trying to hook his kid up on the way out?

Kiffin ... ripped the college calendar, which forces many coaches to juggle a transfer window while preparing for bowl games. It came on the heels of several coaches having to squeeze national signing day into a week of preparation for conference championship games.

"We just try to make the best of the situations," Kiffin said during a videoconference call for coaches headed to the Gator Bowl. "It really is a dumb system."
Agreed. Why wouldn't it start in January? Something to do with semesters at colleges? I dunno?

I would say yes. Our offense was really good in 2023. Suffered in 2024 due to lack of talent, but was still good.

We fired our HC, so the coordinators normally go as well, either voluntarily or not.

When do we, as a society, get to stop pretending money isn't catnip for women?

Annie Agar said this week he wants to job because it's walking distance to his girlfriend's dorm.

Money = resources, women want resources for their kids, or something.
The University of North Carolina's Board of Trustees is expected to hold an emergency meeting Wednesday, where the board is expected to discuss a contract for a new football coach, according to sources familiar with the process.

Belichick at UNC is top 5 most perplexing sports stories in my lifetime.

Classless acts in the Shoe will soon be a felon.

Unlike in Michigan where they can't seem to figure out how to keep teams from fighting in their single access tunnel, Ohio lawmakers are actively trying to discourage low class, lack of integrity characters from causing violent disturbances.

To me, yes, planting the flag is a classless act, just like any other trash talking, taunting, etc. It's just another form of that. What shouldn't be tolerated is a 'violent response'. Of course the Ohio police pepper sprayed the Michigan players who were under attack by the OSU players! But it should have been the other way around.

This comes off as a 'cry more' response from OSU, to me. And I'm not saying that because we were the ones doing it, or because it's OSU. ANYONE that passes a law restricting sports related taunting, etc is kind of crying a bit. That being said, I HATED seeing our players do that. I've always been the "We're better than that" person, and I don't like it. NCAA making a rule? Sure. They've already done similar. But the state doing it? Come on.
