I've been to Puerto Rico, it was fun. Was there in April.

And the White House lied about it, Biden did call half of Americans garbage.

https://apnews.com/article/biden-garbag ... 1a946b6252

I'll quote the headline in case it gets changed:
AP sources: White House altered record of Biden’s ‘garbage’ remarks despite stenographer concerns
I would make a statement in the vein of "All republicans are insane," because that's just our vibe, but hell.... I'm not going to make fun of a dementia patient, even if he is technically running the country and the democrats think that's fine.

And TBH I was a little behind in the news cycle and didn't understand the pics of trump in the garbage truck at first, but now I get it and, as long as we're being honest, it was a good response.

I bet a dollar Biden is kept away from microphones for the next few weeks.

Epstein sure had a lot to say about Trump according to newly released tapes.
A New York author and journalist has released audio tapes that appear to detail how Donald Trump had a close social relationship with the late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein that he has long denied.

The tapes, released as part of the Fire and Fury podcast series by Michael Wolff, author of three books about Trump’s first term and 2020 bid for a second, and James Truman, former NME journalist and Condé Nast editorial director, include Epstein’s thoughts about the inner workings of the former US president’s inner circle.

Wolff says the recordings were made during a 2017 discussion with Epstein about writing his biography. Epstein died by suicide while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges two years later. Despite his crimes, the wealthy financier was at the heart of a social circle of the rich and powerful in the US and overseas that contained many famous names.

Wolff claims the excerpt tape is a mere fraction of some “100 hours of Epstein talking about the inner workings of the Trump White House and about his longstanding, deep relationship with Donald Trump”.

100 hours makes it sound like bullshit. No one can talk on any subject for 100 hours.

Was the Piss Tape ever released? Still waiting on that gem.

If only I had been a lot angrier and gotten about a million people to be mroe angry also. I may have made a difference.

Maybe it's time to drop some news that Epstein talked about Trump for like 8000 hours on tape.

I tried to buy Kamala @ 37 cents on polymarket the other day. Turns out Americans cannot participate in it. He's still leading, but down to 54.6 cents for Trunp.

My general impression has been that the righty memes are funnier...

Then someone on the left just takes it and reverses the sentiment which usually doesn't make any sense and is cringy for it....

Then the right says "the left can't meme."

Then the left takes it and reverses it and says "No the right can't meme."

When the left DOES try something original, it is usually a generalization, "All conservatives are racist/sexist/homophobic." Which is.... just dumb on many levels.

The left has offended my sense of comedy with their memes. I voted straight-D in spite of that.

Taking bets on if there's some fucktard out there that will take advantage of the situation?

What would be the betting odds that someone will do something stupid that starts a month long wild fire?

Trump's policies would be an economic disaster.

Duh.

Neither candidate will save us from debt/deficits.

Also, duh. Sigh.

As Gordon points out, things haven't been awesome the past four years.

That article is weird though. Doesn't the fourth "key point" contradict the entire thing?
-In the case that Donald Trump defeats Kamala Harris, some see a scenario in which rising fiscal deficits, along with a potential global trade war, could mean higher inflation and surging bond yields.
-Investor Ed Yardeni coined the term “bond vigilantes” back in the 1980s, and cautioned that they could return as government debt and deficits swell.
-A report from the Peterson Institute for International Economics painted a dour picture for the nation’s fiscal and economic health as well as for inflation under a Trump presidency.
-The possibilities for tariff-induced inflation spikes was a common theme for Trump during his first term in office. Yet inflation never eclipsed 3% for even a single month in his presidency.

No, because his tariffs in the 1st term were very small. His "promised" ones this election are dramatically larger.

Covid gets all the blame, but let's be honest, it's not all Covid. And I'm not even pointing the finger at Biden/Harris either. Covid was the excuse for a lot of corporate greed.

Ok, that makes sense. I'm glad you put promised in quotes. Election promises are meaningless. They hold as much weight as a teenager telling his girlfriend he won't cum inside her.

I was in my kid's dorm a few weeks ago, fixing his laptop. His roommate was there, a nice kid fro Chicago. While taking the case apart I commented on the train map he had on his wall, of Chicago. So he started telling me how deep he was into the whole "Chicago Experience" growing up, it was kind of endearing.

Anyway, he said a few years ago the FBI kept coming to his chicago high school arresting kids because they applied for, and received, PPP "loans."

I don't know how deep into arresting/prosecuting they went, but it was an anecdote I tucked away for now.

But knowing the government, it's probably lucky the kids weren't killed and tested for rabies.
