BTW, yeah, they lost because they got fucked on a terrible offensive PI call that took them out of chip shot FG range with 6 seconds left. However, it's a wash because earlier they were granted a first down on a play that should have been ruled an INT. These things balance out.

The whole Day situation is weird and sucks. Day is a legit coach and a better human being, but he's not winning the big games lately. (We'll see in two weeks when he faces #3 PSU...although does any win against James Franklin count?)
The staff is solid and there are studs everywhere, but it's clear they're not getting the best out of the players outside of WR and RB, particularly on the D line (looking at you 80 year old Larry Johnson who is also no longer a great recruiter). Jim Knowles I've been really patient with because he's also a great guy, but his defenses have been shit in big games.
I don't think it'd be going out on a limb to say that if Day loses another regular season game this year and misses the playoffs, he's out. Hell, I'd add that he needs to make a run in the playoffs too.
Mike Vrabel is out there and a lot of boosters are clamoring to bring him in as the HC.

Also, Louisville just had a call go against them that I think they got wrong. Ward got hit and fumbled, which was picked up by the D and returned for a TD. The ruling came in that his hand was going forward, but if you watch the replay, the ball is hit before his hand goes forward. Thus, his hand still makes the ball move forward, but he didn't have a grasp on it anymore.
