There are many who would argue that anyone that goes into this level of public service are mentally ill. I'd say anyone who actually sat down to watch those two assholes lie constantly is mentally ill. :D

To be fair, ABC did previously give Hillary the questions in advance. So, let's not pretend the concept is batshit crazy.

Kudos to her team though, questions or not. She was prepared very well. We've seen unscripted Kamala before and it's a shit show. Although, she is taking criticism for dodging multiple questions.

1. My hippy girlfriend had a zoom call watching party with her hardcore liberal friends of last nights debate. I can't think of anything I'd rather do less.

2. News aggregators all say she crushed trump.

3. Knowing nothing else about her, I like that she's not 80. Everything else they can, and will, lie about.

Someone tell me why Biden put on a Trump 2024 hat today.

Was there a joke? Is he bitter about getting pushed aside? Was he confused?

I need context.

Well, he did say he was going to "Do 9/11" today, which I'm glad he didn't do. Concrete and steel beams are more expensive than ever.

But seriously it was at an event with Kamala:
US President Joe Biden donned one of his predecessor and adversary Donald Trump's signature red hats on Wednesday in a move the White House said was a show of "unity" on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
The veteran Democrat was dared to put on the cap as he attended commemorative events with Vice President Kamala Harris -- Trump's opponent in the November presidential election -- at the Pennsylvania site where Flight 93 crashed.
Think he was just fucking with Trump.

Thank you. You're probably right, but I'll go with the WH's story of unity. I really want that to be the truth.

I did not watch the debate, but have followed some of the news around it.

Here are people who think it was biased in favor of Harris:
Fox (Duh)- CNN - ChatGPT - So, I guess this is accurate?

Welp.

I mean.

Some of us have been saying that it is impossible to have an undistorted view of both candidates with the current media model....... but.... yeah.

TheCatt, 1898: "All the newspapers have said it, obviously the Spanish blew up the USS Maine in Havana Harbor. War with Spain is right and good."

https://history.state.gov/milestones/18 ... journalism
On the night of February 15, an explosion tore through the ship’s hull, and the Maine went down. Sober observers and an initial report by the colonial government of Cuba concluded that the explosion had occurred on board, but Hearst and Pulitzer, who had for several years been selling papers by fanning anti-Spanish public opinion in the United States, published rumors of plots to sink the ship. When a U.S. naval investigation later stated that the explosion had come from a mine in the harbor, the proponents of yellow journalism seized upon it and called for war. By early May, the Spanish-American War had begun.
When they gotta sell, they'll sell.

They've never not been liars. Even Ben Franklin was "buying ink by the barrel" in order to troll peeps.

Why is it all or nothing? Trump and Kamala can both be shit.

And she did lie and dodge questions, it's just that the moderators didn't call her on it like they did Trump. People online are though AND posting her campaign speeches where she said things like wanting to ban all guns and fracking. Her ever evolving accent based on where she is harkens to Hillary and the hot sauce comment. Ditto for how she really played up her Indian heritage her entire career, yet all of a sudden she's just black.

Patronizing is lying too.

I don't want either of them to win. My voting strategy is "In lieu of Fetterman, None of the Above 2024." (Truthfully, it's Chase Oliver. I know nothing of his policies, but I'm trying to change this broken fucking system.)

Now, besides not being Trump (which, I get, isn't nothing), what actual qualifications does Harris actually bring to the job?
-Bernie Sanders this week saying she's a Marxist, but has to hide her true beliefs to get votes?
-The 2% of people who voted for her when she ran for president previously?
-Her handling of the border allowing the most illegals into our country in history...and by a LOT?
-Her and others mocking Trump's border wall only to push for their own now?
-Her being the only candidate in history to not actually be selected by the people? (Which I'm told is a really big deal when an R wins the office due to the EC.)
-Her vowing to fix all the issues created by an administration she was #2 in over the past 3 1/2 years?
-Her push for rent control and price caps? (Your capitalism side must love that.)
-You posted about "experts" claiming Trump's economic plan would suck, and I agree. However, they say the same about her plan. Mark Cuban, who is far left and endorsed her, said he thinks her economic plan would decimate Wall St.
-Her admin giving untold amounts of money to illegals, far more than actual citizens and VETERANS receive, and now doing everything in their power to give them the right to vote? (If Jan 6th was a coup attempt, then what the fuck is importing millions of voters, and then bribing them to vote for you?) (And yes, I know she wasn't a mastermind of this, but her party certainly is.)
-Her obvious MENSA level intellect?

I just don't see ANYTHING about her that makes her qualified to be president. She has no accomplishments. She's a moron. She sucks at public speaking. She's a Marxist.

She's simply not Trump, and as I've said before, that's fine. Let's just not pretend it's more than that.

Speaking of bribes for votes...

I guess this eliminates it for employers and employees. The cynic in me immediately thought, "Corps will hire fewer people and try to overwork their existing people as they'll be cheaper." Am I wrong?

Is this a good plan? I even see some of the left follows saying stuff like, "Ok, he has one good idea." But is it?

No.

We need a simpler system, not "Oh, these are 'tips' no taxes. Oh, you hit 40 hours this week and are not exempt, no taxes, etc" Otherwise I'll just get a lower rate and lie about working 50 hours a week, but on those base 40, it'll all be tips!

was curious how many candidates have lost 2+ elections, and it's more than i would have thought, even if you limit it to the top 2 candidates.

If Trump loses, would be first double loser since 1956 (Stevenson)

Trump could have done a lot of things during the debate, instead of spouting crazy conspiracy theories. Kamala does indeed have a record of flipping on some positions, and there was a real opportunity for a competent conservative to lambast some of the things she's legit said.

Instead he shit on a whole LEGAL immigrant community, with milions of voters. Continues to.

And it's not harmless.

I saw those crowds in NC yesterday. The momentum is strong for Kamala with no real possible stumbles in sight, especially with Trump rejecting a second debate. Likely just major endorsements for her, and calls to vote from ex-republican officials, celebrities, and other famous people.

Illegally killing and serving pets to the immigrant community is not a new thing, and has happened, which is why this story has the legs it has.

I'm not there, I don't know. But I'm the kind of person who thinks they commit a crime against another person, that's one crime too many, and it wouldn't have happened if they weren't put there.

But I think a bigger issue is why 20k immigrants got dropped into a community designed for the 40k people that already lived there.

Disclaimer: I'm tired of a constantly growing population, and think we should be slamming the doors shut, for a while. Don't let anyone in. And put everyone on birth control at birth, you need to opt-out. At the very least that would stop unwanted teen pregnancies.
