I wish we'd let him go in 2020. Never should have let him renegotiate and stay. Since then, it seems he's done everything he could, including breaking rules, to make himself hireable again. I mean, I get it. NO ONE would have hired him back in 2020. He had to do something to salvage his career. But things are shaping up to hurt the school for many years to come.
Carr killed the program through negligence and ineptitude. Harbaugh is doing it by playing dirty. I prefer the former. I don't like this look on them. The school needs to save its reputation and come down hard.

You have indeed been very consistent in your opinion on him, and I agree with you. IF there is merit to this accusation, and it sure as hell seems like there is, the school needs to act. This is a guy who has tried to leave twice, and even said his goodbyes once thinking he had a job offer elsewhere. Letting him dictate his leaving, again IF this is all true, makes the university look weak and so desperate for wins that it's willing to cheat and get shit on.
Remember, Jim Tressel, one of the nicest human beings on the planet, lost his job for trying to protect 5 (7?) players who broke a rule. Far less than what's being accused in this case. Michigan loves to claim the moral high ground, but can they if they keep Harbaugh for doing much worse than what had OSU part ways with Tressel?
Harbaugh is a good coach, that's indisputable. However, we've seen college coaches fail in the NFL and NFL coaches fail in college. They're two different games. All the recruiting, kissing players' asses, NIL deals, kissing boosters' asses, the transfer portal, and so on isn't something NFL coaches have to deal with, and I genuinely don't fault anyone for not wanting to do all that shit. I don't know how these coaches do it, and Harbaugh has never struck me as the type of person who would be good at that. (His recruiting classes seem to prove that too.)
Also, I absolutely think there's a bit of "fuck this guy" from the NCAA's side. They were already facing sanctions for previous recruiting violations, specifically improper contacts during the Covid year, and Harbaugh and Michigan publicly said it was about a cheeseburger. The NCAA put out a very pissed off message saying it wasn't about that. That ending up seeing the NCAA canceling a punishment settlement they had in place. They're clearly pissed at him. But that being said, if you're cheating and they can prove it, you're cheating. At that point any vendetta really doesn't matter.
I think the most interesting thing to me right now is when will the NCAA (and B1G...don't undersell that they are also involved and admitting there is something to this) act. Do you let this coach lead a team to the playoffs knowing that you might force them to vacate wins later? Do you hope PSU or OSU beats them and then you don't have to act? What happens if they go undefeated and are in the playoffs and then you act? You just ruined the playoffs.
Now, in a gesture of good faith between you and I as representatives of our fan bases, I'd like to make you an offer. You take Mike Tomlin to be the new HC at Michigan and the Steelers will take Jim Harbaugh as our new HC.

I heard TTUN, PSU, and OSU were 1, 2 , and 3 in defensive rankings coming into today. Not sure if that's accurate.

Pretty fucking clear that TTUN has been illegally scouting opponents.
There's no denying this. They know everything. They have video evidence. The fact this asshat had tickets on both sides of the stadium for Saturday's OSU-PSU game and they went unused speaks volumes. He makes $55K/yr, but can afford all these tickets and the travel? I'm SUUUUUURE nobody at TTUN had any idea what was happening and they didn't use this info. I'm certain Harbaugh had no idea why his 3 star recruiting classes suddenly were easily shutting down teams with blue chippers all over the field.
I genuinely feel bad for folks like Cake. If my school was doing this shit, it'd be like a thousand kicks in the dick. Everything they do and did is tainted until the program is scrubbed clean.
However, the absolute worst people will be the TTUN fans still claiming the moral high ground. Still claiming "everyone does it", as if that's a justification for cheating. Dave Portnoy will be exhibit A of that type of dipshit.

I looked for OSU-PSU tickets this year. 45 yard line where his seat was purchased was no less than $2K per ticket. He bought two...
He was 100% getting reimbursed by someone, and considering how bad he was at covering his tracks, we'll know who eventually.
Pretty sure there's some tax implications here that might make the feds interested.

One of my favorite things about this new TTUN scandal is that some of their dumber, "I drank ALL the Kool-Aid" fans keep talking about a cheeseburger being the reason for the previous sanctions. That's a narrative TTUN actively pushed, and the NCAA got PISSED that the school did that.
Here we are a few months later and TTUN's potentially looking at the death penalty.
If TTUN hadn't purposely pissed off the NCAA, maybe we're not where we are right now?

Hindsight being 20/20, it does make sense that TTUN had the perfect plays called whenever Knowles' D had blitzes coming.
It also makes sense that the one team Harbaugh couldn't scout in advance, TCU, beat them.

The "Dirtiest Player in the Game" endorses Harbaugh. I mean, that's just hilarious.

If you look on Twitter a large portion of their fans don't care. There's even one lady who is supposedly a lawyer who says enjoy the national title because even when they make us vacate it, it'll be years down the road and who cares?
The cope I'm seeing is unbelievable. They're grasping any possible loophole to try and justify or excuse the cheating.
The #1 thing they cannot run from is that it doesn't matter if this guy acted alone. (And you'd have to be an absolute moron to think he did.) It's still Harbaugh's responsibility.

I hope Cake is looking away because this is only going to get worse as more stuff comes out.
Him standing near the OC whose group is on the field is all you really need to know. He's a recruiting staff member. Why would they need him nearby during a game? And seriously, what could possibly be on that laminated card? Referee signals? (It could be their team's signals.) You can dive into this one. Chase Evans is a TTUN student and a recruiting intern. This is proof of him getting paid by Stalion the day before the OSU/GA game. Ultimately, once all is said and done here will the most embarrassing part be that TTUN will forever be disgraced by this scandal or how poorly Stalion covered his tracks?
