I don't know if the rule applies to transpeople, but I suspect it does. I know there have been some dudes really good at making themselves into attractive women and I think Elliot Page was a decently attractive woman before she transitioned. However, I think I support "a lot" as the key to your statement. The vast, vast majority of transwomen I have ever seen are hideous beasts who look like someone put a dress on a shaved bear.
