Hilarious. He makes a good hire and they fire him because administration reacted badly to the public’s reaction. I hope he sues the shit out of them and I hope Tennessee never wins another game.

Ole Miss gets punishment for cheating.

Bama continues to go unpunished for years of cheating, scheduling nobodies, and harming recruits' educations and sports careers.

A&M got their coach. FSU needs a new one.

Sources told ESPN that Texas A&M officials have approved a 10-year, $75 million fully guaranteed contract for Fisher, which is the richest deal in college football history in terms of total value.
Nice $ if you can get it.

FSU has to be a pretty attractive job. Apparently their facilities need work, though

Ole Miss QB is probably the first to abandon ship after the sanctions. Rumor has it he'll go to USC or UCLA.

Frost heads to Nebraska. The coaching names in the Big Ten is pretty impressive.

3/4 right now and two games aren't over.

Georgia
Oklahoma
Clemson
?

Win, lose, or draw for us tonight, J.T. Barrett has been terrible. Ever hear the expression, "The game wasn't as close as the score indicates"? That's never been as true as tonight's game. The Buckeyes are absolutely dominating Wisconsin. Unfortunately, J.T. Barrett is having one of the worst games of his career. He's overthrown multiple wide open WRs, several for wide open touchdowns. He's throw two horrific picks, one for a pick six. His decision making is inexplicably terrible when that's normally his strength.

This is Meyer's weakness...he's too loyal.

If we get in and this Barrett shows up, we'll get housed by anyone.

Well this should be close. I would call it
1 - Clemson
2 - Oklahoma
3 - Georgia
4 - Bama has the better record, and the better loss. OSU has the better set of wins. I honestly thing Bama is the better team, but OSU has the conference championship.

It's honestly going to be the right and wrong call either way.

I know I'm insanely biased, but I think OSU deserves the nod over Bama. If they put Bama in they're telling people "It doesn't matter who you play. Conference Championships don't matter. Your conference's ranking doesn't matter." So why then wouldn't every single college team schedule nothing but creampuffs?

Bama played nobody, got dominated by a three loss team, plays in a weak conference (I think they're rated as the 4th best out of 5), didn't win their conference championship, their best win is against a three loss team that lost at home to Troy, and they struggled with a ton of mediocre teams on their schedule. So what exactly is their resume?

Meanwhile, OSU won their conference, beat two top four teams, beat several other ranked teams, had a MUCH tougher SOS, yet lost two games badly. One to the best team in college football, the other on the road to a team that beat ISU on the road. Who's ISU? The team that beat OU and TCU.

The funny part is both teams would be favored against the other 3 by Vegas...

Oh yeah, I forgot USC also has a good argument to be in...

Joey Galloway just made an amazing point that people are going to be hammering if Bama gets in: Bama's resume is the same as Wisconsin's...

Both have wins over the same number of ranked teams. Both have one loss. Neither won their conference. Both have garbage SoS.

What hasn't been stunning is how hard the ESPN personalities are rooting for Bama.

This is interesting because ESPN is in bed with the SEC, but FOX who has the CFP also owns the rights to the Big Ten (they outbid ABC this year).

Does either network have any power with the committee?

Bama is in.

Conference Championships don't matter.
Strength of schedule doesn't matter.
Conference ranking doesn't matter.
Number of wins versus top 10 teams doesn't matter.

All that matters is the majority of the committee is from the south. They put in Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Georgia. All southern teams.

FOX has to be PISSED.

Penn State and Wisconsin were both top 5. Bama hasn't beaten anyone.

The SEC is the fourth best conference and they have two teams in.

The CFP was supposed to be the end of this biased bullshit, yet here we are again.

USC and Ohio State both had better resumes than Alabama. The Big 10 and Pac 12 should withdraw from the CFP.

Saban admits to influencing the committee.

Again, the majority of these guys have ties to ACC and SEC schools. That's bullshit.

Saw this today at SBNation and adding my own comments.

If the playoffs were 8 deep, it'd be:
1 Clemson vs 8 UCF
2 Oklahoma vs 7 USC
3 Georgia vs 6 Wisconsin
4 Alabama vs 5 Ohio State

All the teams are conference champs, 1 loss, or undefeated. Absolutely nobody could complain. All bias gone, and none of the inbred voting could sabotage it.

Now it would have worked perfectly this year. But going forward you've got to have guidelines or else you're just letting a bunch of good ol' boys vote based on bias. Same shit, different system.

-All P5 conference champs are in.
-An undefeated ND is in. (Why? I'm just copying the rules of the current CFP. I think it's dumb too.)
-An undefeated Group of 5 team is in IF they play 3 P5 schools in that season. (Is three too many?)
-No P5 school can play a div II school. (Sorry SEC/ACC)
-To be eligible, a P5 school must go on the road out of conference and to a P5 school, once every two years. (We will call this, "The Saban Rule".)
-No "Visual" tiebreaker. That's where bias comes in.
-All conferences MUST play the same number of conference games. (Sorry SEC)

What other qualifiers would you want? There have to be more, but as fair and simple as possible.

I worry about SoS being a top qualifier. It should be, but it's too easily influenced by voters and they're full of shit. Take Bama as an example. Ranked #1 in the preseason. Played the 46th toughest schedule. Played a single team in the RPI 50 and lost. Sorry, got dominated. Why exactly were they #1 in the preseason? Seriously. I still keep hearing how the SEC is the #1 conference, yet all the computer rankings have them at 4.
