I watched parts of the game after white water rafting in between bar/tent trips. I gave up when it was 1:30 left in the game, 2nd down for Michigan.

I really think Meyer was forced into starting Cardale based on last year. Plus, I think he was trying to push Barrett harder by saying things like "The other guy hasn't been him out yet."
Everyone knows Barrett is the superior QB. His QBR last year was the highest in the Big Ten and one of the highest in the nation. He had that offense humming. He was voted a captain by his team even after losing the job to Cardale. He doesn't have Cardale's deep ball, but he's more accurate, can read defenses better, and is more mobile.
It was a no brainer.
Don't sleep on the Buckeye's defense though. Cardale made great plays down the stretch last year, but the defense really stepped up. The defense has been on the field a LOT this year and has kept the Buckeyes undefeated. They have more plays under their belts than most other defenses, and now that the offense should generate more plays, they'll have more time to rest during games.
If they do go on a run of great play now the thing that will be nagging at me is are they hitting this too early? It's what was said about Michigan a week ago. Did they start their run too early, and while it did take a miracle to end their streak, it did end. Should be interesting to see how hard they play the rest of the way now that they're buried for the national championship game.
Back to early runs, Alabama might be peaking too early too. They're on a great run right now, and I don't know if they'll lose another game, but teams that peak too early tend to fizzle out later.
The CFP would be very interesting right now. Who would you put in? Only one school from each conference is allowed in and all 5 have at least one undefeated team right now.
The Big Ten almost seems like a lock to have a rep with MSU, OSU, and Iowa all undefeated. If the winner of MSU/OSU goes on to face an undefeated Iowa team, the winner is in...unless it's Iowa. I could see them getting left out if all the other conferences offer up an undefeated champ.
The ACC is probably the weakest conference, so Clemson can run the table, but if they lose I think the committee will have a hard time debating between the ACC champ and the Pac 12 champ.
The Pac 12 champ won't be undefeated as Utah doesn't look like world beaters right now. If they lose once, but win their conference, and Clemson loses once and wins their conference, who do you leave out?
The Big 12 is TCU/Baylor. The undefeated team at the end is probably in...maybe? Do they have a conference championship yet? If the Big Ten, ACC, SEC, and Pac 12 all offer up an undefeated conference champion, does the Big 12 get left out again? (Especially if it's Baylor who has the weakest SOS of anyone.)
The SEC is LSU's if they win out. If they stumble at Bama, then it'll probably be Bama/Florida unless Bama loses another game before they meet. If LSU loses then the SEC champ will have at least a loss. Do we skip the SEC if all the other conferences offer up undefeated champs? I think so. Then we'll get months of SEC people claiming their conference is too tough, and the best teams aren't in the playoffs, and other bullshit.

I have a problem with that sentence.
The site also notes that Barrett could be subject to a two-week suspension as part of Ohio State's athlete code of conduct since it's an alcohol-related offense and he's underage.
JT is just being young and dumb. My favorite meme about the situation has Cardale calling the police on him. (In reality, Cardale was the one who picked him up from the police station.)
