I would love to get 12 kills in a match this weekend (Death Star achievement) or 12 assists (I forget what that achievement is called) and NOT get a point towards the CTF-3D. I wouldn't even be mad.
HAH! I guess if you got all 12 kills, you would win the match because you would be the last man standing... but since you were such a kill stealer you wouldn't have any assists so you wouldn't get the point towards your Cataphract.
I wish they would release stats on the achievements. I want to know if anyone has actually earned that one.

Make a note of your bank account once you get the 3 points and the premium time goes active. Then ignore it all weekend and look at it again after you play the 30+ (I'm betting 60-100) matches to get the CTF-3D. It should grow substantially.
Just tack them 3 premium days onto the end of my 150+ days I have left. I'm good until about the middle of June right now :p
If you would stop spending money like a 16 year old girl at the mall with her first credit card, you'd have tens of millions of cbills too.

I've done alright with my c-bills, I own 16 mechs and a few XL engines. Whats the point in having the c-bills if you're not going to spend them? Having 40million in the bank does nothing for me, I see what I want and I go get it.
You do more impulse purchasing than I do. Seems like when I do it in game, I'm not happy with the results. For example, I don't love my Atlas mechs yet. (Too slow + brawler builds = shitfest)
Meanwhile, I've been loving my Centurions.
I've found a pattern I like of going full bore with a specific mech, then moving on to the next group of mechs I'll build and level.
Once I'm done with the Atlas, I think I might move onto a Resistance mech.

You need 3 to get 3 days of premium time. Then you have 3 days to get 30 total points for the free mech and mech bay.
I'll be on around 10-11 tonight. Got a dinner to go to and then have to train the old man on Windows 8...ugh.

If we had more people in our clan, probably. As it is we are on a 12-man team, and we only have voice with 2 or 3 of them. No one gives a shit about anyone else, typically.

You can play private matches, but they turn off most of the achievements and tournament stuff so they don't apply there.
None of the TF2 tactic of making your own private server and working with the enemy to get the hardest achievements.
Everything is earned in MW:O.

If you had a 12 man team, you could easily holler to everyone that you've gotten 10 of the kills, and folks could leg enemy mechs and save them for you, but realistically, even in that situation it'd be very, very difficult to pull off.
Granted, two teams working together in a sanctioned match, IF they happened to get matched up, could pull such things off. However, match ups are so random that the odds of that are very slim and it'd take them forever to get everyone their achievements. (I don't think achievements are turned on in Invasion matches either where teams knowing each other is more likely.)

Just got killed in a conquest map with 1 kill 5 assists. We were winning huge ob points. All of a sudden we had 1 guy alive and they had 2. We only needed 40 points to win, they wre 300 points behind. I told him to run/hide. he had to attack. We lost the game with 743 points when he died.

This challenge is making me better at playing like an asshole.
With my LRM boat I am learning to let everyone else beat a guy down to 60%, then open up with the 40 missile salvos when he is too busy to get under cover.

Dumb move. I admire his fight, but sometimes you hide to win for your team.
Once Stranger and Cake logged off last night, we won. Coincidence?
Just had a good streak of luck. 5 qualifying games in a row and the "Seriously?!" achievement in the non-qualifier right before that.
I've been running the Atlas-K this afternoon and it's a plodding piece of shit. I also don't think sniping is for me.
