I think I would feel sorry for him. The Browns would just ruin the poor kid.. But oh well, why not.

Well, obviously not, if he has NFL talent.

The Karl Hess thing is ridiculous.

Had he said, "Your Southern ass" or "Your dumb ass" or a million other things, it wouldn't be "offensive".

Just goes to show you that what's "offensive" is based on horseshit beliefs and bars that society arbitrarily sets.

I'm surprised that being called Egyptian is a "slur." Obviously, Shah is racist.

At any rate... This was more straw that broke the camel's back than anything. Also it's just NCSU fans who hate him, and who cares what they think.

As you can imagine, I'm nervous. Not the same kind of nervous prior to the Bama game though.

No nooses for me tonight. We've proven we belong, and we are still playing with a third string QB. So even if we get shelled, life goes on and we shouldn't take too much heat.

Plus, it'd make the SEC look even worse. Don't the SEC have to be rooting for an OSU victory tonight? It'll cut their failure this year. They can then claim "OSU had a dream season". However, if we lose badly, they look really bad for losing to us and other big ten teams.

I'm obviously hopeful for a victory. Florida State, whom I didn't have a lot of respect for, was hanging with Oregon through the half. Then the turnovers started and the team completely quit. I don't think the Buckeyes will quit.

It should be interesting because both offenses are nearly equal. Oregon has a faster tempo, and while they lead OSU in most categories, that lead is typically minor.

Defensively, I think Oregon ranks lower than OSU.

Speed will be interesting because OSU had more speed than Bama. If Oregon can match OSU for speed than the SEC really is in trouble.

One thing I find odd is Vegas. Had Bama beaten OSU, Bama would have been a 7 point favorite against Oregon. OSU beats Bama, in a dominating fashion in every category except score, and they're a 7 point dog against Oregon? Explain that. From what I've heard the "smart money" or the professional gamblers jumped all over that line with record money.

Relax! They're in the National Championship game! There are 126 other teams that wish they were there.

Easy for you to say. Being a Steelers, Braves, Celtics, and Penguins fan, your teams are in a championship game just about every year.

I've had one season in all my life that has ended in a championship, so days like today are few and far between. I'll relax when Ohio State wins. If they lose then it will just be another disappointment that I'm all to familiar with.

Well, I have the experience so trust me!

Dump the all or bust mentality. Have that next year when they'll be expected to be there.

Find the positives and cling to them to enjoy the moment. I think you could argue that even if OSU wins tonight, the bigger win was last week.

What happened to the guy who knew Cleveland wasn't going to the Super Bowl, but just wanted to enjoy it while they were winning?

At the very least, we're the second best team in the nation. Enjoy that.

Also, if you believe in gambling trends, they say you should always bet against the public, and the public has put most of the money on Oregon.

BTW Stranger, my stomach is now filled with butterflies. I think I'll be leaving early.

This game can really go either way. That's the big problem with college, it's impossible to match people up based on the lack of similar opponents. If OSU's D steps up, this game is over. O is missing too many receivers, and OSU's D has done well against the pass.

And besides, with Meyer onboard, I would expect to be back in this game within the next few years.

Championships for teams I cheer:
NCAA basketball: 91, 92, 93, 05, and 09. (I was a Duke fan - 91/92 before I was a UNC fan-93)
NFL: 82, 87, and 91.
NCAA football: None.

Don't follow NBA, NHL, or MLB. O's won in '83, but yeah... just can't care about baseball.

It's been said in many places that they're going to start next year at #1.

NCAA basketball: 91, 92, 93, 05, and 09. (I was a Duke fan - 91/92 before I was a UNC fan-93)

Explain the switch. That's an odd one.

The only championship I am missing is the NCAA basketball title.

just can't care about baseball.

My order of importance:
-Buckeye Football
-Steelers (I can't call this #2, but more like #1B)
-Buckeye Basketball
Here there is a HUGE drop off...
-US National Team(soccer)
-Penguins
-Braves
-Celtics

It is. In the Fall of 92, I enrolled at UNC for college. UNC was literally my least favorite basketball team until then.

Being at this game helped.

It was amazing.

Trailing Florida State by 21 with a little less than 12 minutes left, and by 73-54 with nine minutes remaining, the third-ranked Tar Heels stopped the Seminoles cold with 16 straight points and didn't stop until they had secured a stunning 82-77 victory before a frenzied sellout crowd of 21,572 at the Smith Center.

"What do you say after that?" North Carolina coach Dean Smith said after his team outscored Florida State 28-4 in the last nine minutes to win its ninth straight game. "What a great comeback. You get upset with a team for being down and now it's hard to be mad at them the way they fought and came back against a quality team."

We rushed the floor. Which seems a little odd for #3 vs #19... but damn what a comeback.
