It sorta reminds me of The 13th Warrior.
Tarzan the Barbarian is left behind by the good guys in The 13th Warrior who have become the bad guys in The Thirteenth Warrior, and he must use Excalibur to defeat them (so he'd be a good Mordred).

I expected this movie to suck, but it was on the HD HBO channel and I thought I'd give it a shot to see if it shocked me and didn't suck.
I was pleasantly surprised for the first 45 minutes, until the vikings came back... then it suffered from "Infinite Enemies Syndrome." No matter how many he killed, there were always 25 more rushing him. Not realistic considering only 3 boats-worth showed up, and we saw at least once a short temper caused a viking-on-viking death, and that was 5 minutes out of their entire months-long Atlantic crossing.
Also, what's the deal with these indians being such pussies? I didn't see a single brave attempting to put up a fight in the first viking attack. All were killed while running away.
ALl, in all, not the horrible failure of a movie I expected, but not great, either.

We finally know what stopped further Viking progress into North America -- Karl Urban's sneer.

That was kind of fucked up. They could run around in the forest and land they know, unhindered by heavy metal armour. Additionally, stone arrowheads and weapons can do a nice number on Vikings ... Karl took out, what, twenty with one rock?

Hmm. Apparently ripped off from this.
Goddamn:
The Viking leader killed by Karl Urban: the dude the Highlander took out.
Viking maimed by Karl Urban: former Conan, Cyborg alum, Scorpion King alum.
